Each row is compared head-to-head against your opponent's matching row, and you earn one point per row won. Win all three rows against a single opponent and that counts as a scoop, which doubles the total unit payout for that match. Royalty hands —

like a straight flush in the back, three-of-a-kind in the front, or four-of-a-kind in the middle — add bonus points on top of row results. Misset your hand and the penalty wipes your score for that round entirely.

A scoop happens when one player wins all three rows against a single opponent in the same hand. The point total for that match is doubled as the scoop penalty.

What does royalty mean in Pusoy scoring?

Royalty refers to special high-value hands — such as a straight flush in the back row — that award bonus points regardless of whether you win or lose that individual row comparison.

What is a misset in Pusoy?

A misset occurs when a player's rows are not set in correct rank order — front weakest, back strongest. A misset hand forfeits all row points and may carry an additional penalty unit.

What is the front row in Pusoy?

The front row holds three cards and must be the weakest of the three rows. It is compared against your opponent's front row, and the stronger three-card hand wins that row's point.

What does unit mean in Pusoy payouts?

A unit is the base stake amount agreed before the game. Points won per row translate into units won or lost; a scoop doubles the units collected from the opposing player for that hand.

What is a natural hand in Pusoy?

A natural hand is a rare automatic-win combination — for example, six pairs or a complete straight across all thirteen cards — that beats any normal arrangement without row-by-row comparison.

Common Pusoy Scoring Questions

Each row you win against one opponent is worth one point. Win the front, you get one point; win the middle, another; win the back, another. Three rows won in one hand against a single opponent triggers the scoop multiplier.

Yes. Royalty bonuses are awarded independently of the row result. If your back row contains a four-of-a-kind but your opponent's back row still beats it by rank, you lose that row point but still collect the royalty bonus points for the hand.

Both royalty bonuses are counted separately. Each player collects the points for their own qualifying hand. The row comparison still proceeds normally, and whichever row wins earns that row's point on top of any royalty credited.

In a four-player game, each opponent is scored independently. If you scoop one opponent by winning all three rows against them, only that matchup is doubled. Rows against your other opponents are scored at the standard one-point-per-row rate.

A misset wipes your score for that particular hand. It does not carry forward to the next deal. Your subsequent hands are scored fresh, so one misset affects only the round it occurs in, not your standing for the rest of the session.
